Another look at Show du Refuge 2024

VINCENT VALLIÈRES, SAFIA NOLIN, DEBBIE LYNCH WHITE, MARCO EMA, and LA FAMILLE DENUY (with Claude Meunier) were Louis-Jean Cormier's guests on December 5 at the TOHU. The brilliant author, composer, performer, singer and guitarist of Karkwa — who organised the 33rd Show du Refuge and is a huge music lover — gave the audience a warm welcome, surrounded by a host of Quebec stars.

Throughout this benefit show, which has become an essential event for the Refuge des Jeunes de Montréal, we experienced an intergenerational encounter reminiscent of Louis-Jean Cormier's Microphone programme on Télé-Québec a few years ago. The artists performed each other's greatest hits, combining their voices and talent to create something very special.

“From the moment I received the first call from the Refuge team, I knew not only that I would accept, but also that I would be able to combine business with pleasure. In other words, I would be investing in an important cause while breathing new life into Microphone, a show format that was close to my heart. The Refuge gives me the chance to bring artists of different generations together in an incredibly organic and cohesive setting. Backed by a 1950s-style band, all the guests will surprise us with both their repertoire and their intimacy,” said Louis-Jean Cormier before the December show.

It's a grand return for an unmissable event on the Quebec music and philanthropic scene. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Les Yeux Boussoles, Hublot 51, Roy & Turner Communications and Pianos Vertu for their invaluable assistance in making this project a reality.
